Here’s an interesting note regarding this script from a Kurosawa book:

“As Donald Richie [the translator] points out in his introduction, the original 200-minute version of Seven Samurai was considerably cut before its general release. There are no prints or reliable script of this original version in existence and so the present publication is based on the Toho script of the 160-minute version, the studio continuity, and movieola viewings of the Japanese, American and British prints of the film.”
